  Friendly staff, best meat counters in Iowa. Somewhat less of a selection than the bigger chain groceries, but they make up for it with their more reasonable prices.

  We are big fans of Fareway, staff is always friendly. They off a great selection of food options. Love their meat department, some of the freshest and best meat around hands down. This location, however, differs from some as you would expect. They do not offer quite as much of a selection in their meat department in my opinion compared to others. I also usually will get my potato salad fresh from the counter, however, it seemed to be a little more on the runny side. Might have just been a one time deal really have not tried again as we are new to the area. One of Fareways best options in my opinion is the staff help bring your groceries to your vehicle and unload them for you. The other thing I find unique about this chain is that they give their employee's Sunday off. Some might find this inconvenient but I think that this is important.
